Ambassador Lu Shaye Visits Universities Canada

On September 29th, Ambassador Lu Shaye visited Universities Canada. During his visit, he met with Paul Davidson, President of Universities Canada and held dialogues and interactions with more than ten principals of Canadian universities presenting at the meeting of the Standing Advisory Committee on International Relations of Universities Canada. Ambassador Lu delivered a speech at invitation on China’s foreign policy, China-Canada relations and cooperation in educational, scientific and technological innovation between the two countries. The two sides interacted and communicated with each other on topics including deepening cooperation in education, science, technology and culture, carrying out Chinese language teaching program, conducting Chinese Studies, expanding China-Canada people-to-people exchanges, strengthening the building of the Confucius Institute, and promoting secure and successful studies abroad. Dr. Vianne Timmons, Chair of Universities Canada’s Standing Advisory Committee on International Relations and President of the University of Regina, Minister-Counsellor (Education) Yang Xinyu and others were present.
