From April 21 to 22, Chinese Embassy in Canada sent a group of consuls to Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Soctia to deal with applications for passport, travel permit and survival certificate from overseas Chinese and Chinese students. The working group made an on-spot decision to extend their working hours to another half day due to the large quantity of applicators who came without appointment. During the event, the working group provided certificate services for more than 140 applicators, discussed with representatives from local overseas Chinese, held lectures for Chinese students on consular protection, receiving acclamation from overseas Chinese community in Canada.
