Ambassador Lu Shaye takes CTV's Power Play live interview

On June 2, Ambassador Lu Shaye took CTV's Power Play live interview where he explained China's stance on the Paris Agreement and the climate change as well as other issues.

Ambassador Lu said that the Paris Agreement is a good agreement and China is willing to cooperate with the international community to promote its implementation. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the issue of climate change. It is decided not only by international responsibility bond by China as a great developing country, but also by China's inherent requirement of sustainable development. China will continue to take measures to fight climate change and will honor its commitment.

Asked about the case of China's crackdown on smuggling of ice wines from Canada, Ambassador Lu pointed out that it is a simple commercial smuggling case and should not be politicized. Media hyping is not helpful to solve the problem. Now this case has been already coming into the judicial process. Let the court do their work and we can wait for the result of the trial.
