Chinese Defense Attaché Senior Colonel Zhu Haitao Attends the KCIS

From June12 and 13, Senior Colonel Zhu Haitao, Defense Attaché of Chinese Embassy in Canada, attended the Kingston Conference on International Security (KCIS) on invitation. About 200 participants of armies and defense departments from Canada, the US, Sweden, Latvia, etc. attended the conference. Senior generals from NATO and Canadian Forces, including Dean of NATO Defense College, Commandr of Canadian Military Personnel Command, Commander of Canadian Special Operations Forces Command, etc., attended the conference and delivered speeches. During the meeting, Senior Colonel Zhu Haitao and Canadian senior generals and participants from the defense departments discussed national defense policies, military ties between China and Canada, and other issues. Assistant Defense Attaché Wang Haifeng accompanied Zhu Haitao and attended the conference.

The KCIS, co-hosted by the NATO Defense College, Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre, and United States Army War College, is one of the largest and the most influential international security and defense conferences. The conference, being held once a year, focuses on army construction, warfare and military training. It was the first time that Defense Attaché of Chinese Embassy in Canada attended the conference at invitation this year.
