Ambassador Lu Shaye Meets with Canadian Minister of Small Business and Tourism Bardish Chagger

On October 24th, Ambassador Lu Shaye met with Bardish Chagger, Canadian Minister of Small Business and Tourism at his residence. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on promoting bilateral cooperation in tourism, expanding two-way personnel exchanges and preparing for the 2018 China-Canada Tourism Year. Ambassador Lu also briefed him on the just concluded 19th CPC National Congress.

David McGovern, Associate Deputy Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development of Canada, Graham Shantz, President of Canada China Business Council, Charlotte Bell, President and CEO of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, Susie Grynol, President of the Hotel Association of Canada, and Yang Wenting, Director of Toronto Office of China National Tourism Administration were present. Minister-Counselor Heng Xiaojun, Minister-Counselor (Economic and Commercial Affairs) Xia Xiang, Minister-Counselor (Culture) Zhao Haisheng, Minister-Counselor (Press and Public Affairs) Yang Yundong of Chinese Embassy in Canada and other staff at the Embassy accompanied Ambassador Lu and attended the meeting.
