Defence Attaché Senior Colonel Zhu Haitao Participates in Match against "General Ice Hockey Team" of Canada and Wins the MVP

Defence Attaché Zhu Haitao and Deputy Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy Gilles Couturier drop the puck to start the game

On the afternoon of March 28th, the annual ice hockey friendly match between the "General Ice Hockey Team" formed by senior generals from Canadian National Defence Headquarters and the "Defence Attaché Ice Hockey Team" formed by denence attachés from more than 20 countries was held at the ice hockey rink of University of Ottawa in Canada's capital. The Ceremonial Guard of Canadian Armed Forces participated in the opening ceremony and the "Canadian Armed Forces Music Branch" also attended to liven up the atmosphere. The "General Ice Hockey Team" of Canada won the game with a 5-4 victory. Ice hockey is the Canadian people's favorite sport and also very popular in the Canadian army with a high-level performance. Defence attachés in Canada from various countries are also keen on ice hockey, a sport combining speed, flexibility, body checking and courage. Honored as the "Great Wall", Defence Attaché Senior Colonel Zhu Haitao participated in the match as the goaltender of the "Defence Attaché Ice Hockey Team" and won the MVP. Assistant Defence Attaché Wang Haifeng also gave an excellent performance in the match with a goal and link-up play.
