Ambassador Luo Zhaohui Watches Hong Kong Ballet Performance

On 3 March 2016, Ambassador Luo Zhaohui and his wife, Dr. Jiang Yili, watched the classical ballet The Sleeping Beauty, performed by the Hong Kong Ballet, in the National Arts Centre (NAC), and attended a reception following the show.

Ambassador Luo made a warm speech at the reception, applauding the passionate presentation, technical brilliance and bravura dancing of the performers. He also recognised the Ballet’s role in promoting cultural exchanges and enhancing friendship and understanding between the Chinese and Canadian people, hoping the Hong Kong Ballet will visit Canada again and present more brilliant performances to Canadian audience.

Minister-Counsellor (Culture) Zhao Haisheng and his wife Lv Yongjiu, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (HKETO) Ms. Kathy Chan, Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Ballet Ms. Madeleine Onne, NAC Dance Executive Producer Ms. Cathy Levy, principal dancers of the Hong Kong Ballet and local media reporters attended the reception.
