Ambassador Zhang Junsai meets Governor Lieutenant of Alberta

On May 9, Ambassador Zhang met with Honorable Donald S. Ethell, Governor Lieutenant of Alberta at the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.

Ambassador Zhang briefed the Governor Lieutenant about the purpose of his visit to Alberta. Ambassador Zhang said that he appreciates that the people of Alberta value and look forward to deepening their relations with China. To his knowledge and Chinese companies’ view on investing in Alberta, Ambassador Zhang believed that China-Canada cooperation in energy and resource has huge potential under the new circumstances.

The Governor Lieutenant welcomed Ambassador Zhang and his entourage to Alberta and said that it is Alberta’s established policy to enhance economic and trade cooperation with China and other Asian countries. The Governor Lieutenant expressed his hope that Alberta-China partnership will be further strengthened within Ambassador Zhang’s tenure in Canada.
