Governor General David Johnston of Canada Meets with Wang Yi

On June 2, 2016 local time, Governor General David Johnston of Canada met in Ottawa with Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

David Johnston expressed that Canada and China enjoy time-honored cooperation and exchanges in various fields, which have become increasingly vigorous in recent years. Canada-China relations have exerted extensive influences on Canada's economic and social life. Canada's new government shows great enthusiasm for developing relations with China. The two countries should meet each other halfway, develop mutually beneficial cooperation, and expand people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so as to enable Canada-China relations to constantly benefit the two peoples.
