Ambassador Cong Peiwu Has a Telephone Conversation with President Peter Stoicheff of the University of Saskatchewan

On May 27th, Ambassador Cong Peiwu had a telephone conversation with Peter Stoicheff, President of the University of Saskatchewan. Ambassador Cong briefed Stoicheff on China's COVID-19 response measures and the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind, and expressed his thanks to the University of Saskatchewan for taking proactive measures to safeguard the health and life of Chinese students in the university. He hoped that all Chinese students could continue to get timely assistance in need from the university, and that the University of Saskatchewan could further beef up cooperation with Chinese universities and scientific research institutions.

Highly commending China's cooperation in international public health, President Stoicheff underscored the importance of cooperation in education and technology as well as people-to-people exchanges. Noting Chinese students are welcome to study in the University of Saskatchewan, he said that the university will ensure the health and safety of Chinese students and also continue to carry out cooperation with China in water and food security.
